David & Sue Kniveton with Derek Acorah after an 'Evening with Derek Acorah' at the Stockport Plaza on 4th October 2008.

This photo was taken at The Pavillion, Pontrhydfendigaid near Tregaron after the evening of demonstration and book signing by Tony Stockwell on Friday 8th February 2008. Pictured here with Tony are David and Sue with ten of the regular members of the Tywyn Spiritualist Church.

These are some of the photo's taken by David on the day of the Native North American workshop presented by Sue Presley and Paul in 2007 at Tywyn Spiritualist Church.

(It takes Sue and Paul about two hours to set up the whole workshop)

The explanations given by Paul on all the artifacts displayed covered all aspects of their traditional ceremonial purposes, medicines, beliefs and those used in every day life for practical purposes.

Native North American workshop a 'brilliant day'

A Native North American workshop held in Tywyn over the weekend has been described as a "brilliant day" and a "huge success".
Organised by Tywyn (Christian) Spiritualist Church the event saw Sue Presley and her husband Paul present a Native North American workshop.
Sue is half English and half American. Her father met her mother whilst serving in the American Air force, with her native heritage that of Cherokee, Shawnee and Cheyenne.
"My life has been filled with many trials and tribulations, but my acknowledgement of God (Wakan Tanka), plus my faith has kept me on the good road", said Sue whose native name is Water Running with husband Paul being Bear Standing.
David Kniveton of Tywyn Spiritualist Church said it had been a "moving experience" hearing of the Cherokee history during the workshop.
"Sue and Paul took us through the tragic lives and times of the Cherokees in the early 1800's, when 654 wagons were loaded with Native Cherokees by the white men and taken northwest without food, water, blankets and extra clothing in appalling weather and conditions. Thousands died along the way. The American Natives call it the trail of tears".
The workshop also saw customs, traditions and beliefs discussed whilst diplayed artefacts were given knowledgeable explanations regarding their history and uses.
