"It must be remembered that all mediums are psychic and that not all psychics are mediums".

Therefore, with that in mind, a medium is the person who has the ability to receive messages from the Spirits of another's friends and relatives who have passed over to the Spirit world. Some people possess a natural gift or ability to receive messages from a very early age, or it may surface later in life, depending on your personal circumstances. In Sue's case for instance, it came to her quite naturally later in life, (and causing some considerable confusion I might add), after a change in personal and family circumstances. Only then was it possible for her to reflect on her entire life thus far and be able to understand past happenings and events much better and see them in a different light.

Certain other individuals have a suspicion and natural leaning within themselves towards the kind of things a medium might be capable of, but have no idea at all just how to go about developing it. This is where a Spiritualist Church can help, as it helped Sue those 'not-so-many' years ago, but not in quite the same way. Regular visits to a church will lead you very naturally into further learning and understanding of what the two subjects of spiritualism and mediumship are all about.

The majority of spiritualist churches hold regular Learning or Development Circles where the art of mediumship is correctly taught with progression to a 'Closed Circle' for the finishing touches.

When a medium is about to deliver a message to you there is absolutely no guarantee who it is likely to be coming forward. The medium is 'only' a receiver, much the same as a telephone when you don't know who is on the other end until you ask who it is. So, if you particularly wanted a message from a grandparent or your favourite Uncle Albert and they did not send you a message do not be disappointed. Just because the ones you wanted did not come through does not mean they have forgotten you, do not love you or even cannot be bothered with you. The truth will be far from that and there could be many reasons why they did not come through.

For instance, if a person has not long passed it sometimes takes a while for them to adjust, especially if their death was due to sudden or tragic circumstances. There may be others who are more experienced who wish to come forward giving you a message relating to any troubles or answers you require at that point in your ife.

Just the same as with healers there are many in spirit who are more than qualified to come forward via a medium as required to deal with the situation in your life at that time.
Be happy and aware that your friends, family pets and relatives are always around you bringing you love, protection, healing and support in your earthly endeavours in a very different way to your Spirit Guides*.

Mediums cannot and should not give predictions or foretell the future. Receiving a message from Spirit that might be concerning an issue at that point in your life, be it for instance, an indecision regarding the colour of a new car, exams or a new career, and you are told everything will be fine in a few weeks/months etc, is not a prediction. It is simply Spirit's way of putting your mind at rest or giving some consolation now rather than letting you wait. If a medium can make predictions or tell the future we would all have been lottery winners a long time ago!

When working with Spirit a medium should always be very polite and respectful.
