Spirit Guides Many people would like to think that their Spirit Guides are either their Great Grandmother, favourite Aunt Elsie or some similar persion, sadly this is highly unlikely to be the case. Undoubtedly such loved ones, be they friends or family, will be around you offering their love, healing and support especially in times of need. These indeed are the spirits of the people who were close to you on the earth and who still stay close on a slightly higher vibration, or frequency level to our own in the spirit world. These are the Spirits of the loved-ones who come forward with messages for you via a medium. Spirit Guides are, in fact, most likey to have been someone known to you from a former life on earth. Whilst you have returned through re-incarnation to continue your learning process they, having completed their own learning have come to support you. They could have been a former marriage partner, a family member or a friend in a past life. It is generally accepted that one's main Spirit Guide is with you by their choice from the moment of conception. This will account for unborn children who have never breathed air or touched the earth, for whatever reason, (premature, still-born, abortion etc), and being a Spirit person, passes to the Spirit world to progress and grow. Generally speaking your main Guide will stay with you throughout your earthly life depending on any drastic changes during your life, in which case your Guide can, if necessary, move on and another, more capable one, (or two or more), will take over to guide you on your very new and different chosen path. Perhaps the biggest misbelief is that Spirit Guides are there to steer you in all the right directions and that when things do not go quite according to your earthly plan it must then be all their fault, or God's. So, it must be remembered that we are all given free-will to take our own chosen paths on the earth to continue learning as we see fit. When on that chosen path our Guide(s) will then endeavour to help us in every way they possibly can. Sometimes our natural human free-will allows us to stray from that path towards a direction not be-fitting a healthy body, mind and spirit. Our Spirit Guides can then only try their best as always, until perhaps we try to make the personal effort to recover from a wrong turn or diversion. The person who chooses, (free-will again), a spiritual path, perhaps as an individual or a psychic, medium or as a healer etc, will to a certain extent 'collect' more Spirit Guides than the average person. These would be according to personal circumstances and the help required along their spiritual pathway. Mediums and healers, both requiring help from the world of spirit, will be given the expertise and benefit of more experinced Guides to be able to deal with the particular circumstance they are facing in the people they are helping. Personal Spirit Guides to a Medium or Healer have the ability to call upon more experienced Spirit Guides to deal with the situation the Earthly ones in their care have to deal with.
